If talking about sunset in Hong Kong, which place will you recall?  Ha Pak Nai? The Peak? Or Hong Kong International Airport? So, Let students of SPD 4459 introduce two wonderful places for you to enjoy sunset. They are Sai Wan Instagram Pier and Sai Wan Swimming Shed.

Sai Wan Instagram Pier is a Public Cargo Working Areas.  Many people go and take many photos there because of its name - “Mirror of the sky”. The reason of this name is the reflection of water. After rains, the floor will has a thick layer ofwater. The water reflects people’s shadows. The stunning sunset sets off the “Mirror of the sky”, so people can take a lots of wonderful photos.

The thick layer of water was dried

Traveling tips:

1. Remember to check the weather first when you want to go there.

The second place is Sai Wan Swimming Shed. It was built in 1960s and 1970s. Since the public swimming pools were not universal at that time, many beaches built a permanent bamboo shed for swimmers to get into the sea easily. The wooden bridge, Green Island Lighthouse, sunset, or even ocean spray became the “must go” place for photography lovers.
